I begin with oil clay, usually inspired by a thought, a vision or an object that catches my attention. From there, a form starts to evolve and will continue to pass through countless iterations until it begins to speak to me. After much trial and error, the model is complete and it then gives rise to a silicone mold in which it will be cast in bronze utilizing the age old lost wax method. I then painstakingly hand finish and patinate the piece, bringing it fully to life, where it is now ready to be released into the world to begin its curious dialogue with its new surroundings.
